Sign, Symbol, Sound and Language

Created for a collaborative project with Modern Art Oxford in 2021, 'Fragments of Understanding' is a large paper weaving exploring the multiple ways in which a landscape is explored and understood by different people. The map of Oxford's Port Meadow is interwoven with strips of literary, ecological, archaeological text as mark making responses to the sights and sounds of the space. 

The work, 50 x 60 cm, is currently on show in Wilding restaurant, Oxford.
